Like the one finger chords - these are good to know - they're a building block for more complex chords and great practice for simple barre chords.

This is the continuation of our series on TRIADS - TRIADS are 3 note chords they contain only the three notes that are in the chord. As you may know when you play a basic ukulele chord it has 4 notes, and one of those notes is repeated (two of the notes are the same), if we take out the repeated note in any major or minor chord we have a TRIAD!

Two Finger Chords

IMPORTANT: Say it as you play it - you'll memorize these in no time. EX: (say this out loud) A, B, C, etc...

Barre the first 3 strings like we did in the one finger chords - so the one finger chords are an important building block for these - then add your second finger to make the first two finger chord!

Thumb in the middle of the back of the neck - can be slightly higher then the middle if you like...

You can touch the G string with the tip your finger to mute it if you'd like to strum all of the strings. If you do this play each note individually to be sure the 4th string is muted.

Here are your 2 finger chords using the G shape.

For these barre just the first two strings - strings 1 & 2 - with your 1st finger, and then add your 2nd finger to fret the note on the 3rd string.

If you'd like to mute the note on the 4th string -  use the muting techniques here (you'll simply touch the 4th string with your 3rd finger to mute it. This is not necessary you can just strum strings 1, 2 & 3.

Here are 2 finger chords using the B shape.
