Here's an easy strum that combines fingerpicking and strumming, and has a cool country feel.

This is an easy version of a country strum - I'll do a next level variation of this soon...

Play a HOT Country Pluck and strum!

This is an easy way to spice up any song. It can be used with any song in 4/4 time.

Start very slow - speed up when you get it down.

WACTH:

The thumb is used to pluck the C on beat 1 and the G string on beat 3, for the down strums, on beats 2 & 4, use your 1st and 2nd fingers or your 1st 2nd and 3rd fingers together and strum downward with a very relaxed motion. 

For the strums you can strum just the C, E and the A string if you like no need to strum all the strings...

Can be use for high or low G - doesn't matter...

What we have here is an alternating bass pattern, meaning the bass note alternates between two notes, not only popular in country but popular in folk and other styles of music as well.

This strum will sound great for any song in 4/4 time.
