Here's a fun strum that's just a slight variation of the island strum.


It can be used for many songs - use it where you might use an island strum.


Play the Cool IZ Strum!


You too can strum like the famous IZ. This strum can be used with any song in 4/4 time.

Start very slow - speed up when you get it down.

WACTH:


The thumb is used to pluck the G string on the first beat, you then continue on with the Island Strum. It's as easy as that!

It isn't necessary to strum all the strings on the up strums, 1, 2 or 3 strings would be fine. 

Can be used for high or low G - doesn't matter...

If you're like most uke players you use the island strum all the time so this'll come in handy.
