Performance notes

The marking that has a dotted note, and then = 56 indicates the tempo that the piece should be played at.

With the metronome at 56, it's to be played with three notes per click, three eighth notes equal one dotted quarter note.

Feel free to start at a slower tempo. A metronome should be used to insure you're playing at the proper tempo and to be sure you are keeping a steady beat. This piece is mostly eighth notes, see the Play Ukulele NOW Method and Songbook for details on basic note values. Basic note values are easy to understand with the right method.

Learn about using a metronome here:

Three secrets to learn and play faster

Take it a few measures at a time, get the measures down that you are working on, then move on to the next ones.

This piece is arranged in such a way where, in most cases, the three notes in each measure can ring together

Measure 9 and Measure 17: Hold this chord down

This should be an easy one as long as you've mastered the previous pieces!
